The view from the roof.

I know we did a blog post recently, but we arrived in Agra this morning, found a hotel, bargained a price, settled down, and then went up to the roof. This is what we saw:
The Taj Mahal as seen from the roof of our hotel.
Were visiting it properly tomorrow, and I can't wait.

While waiting for a train at Varanasi, we saw a cow, ambling obliviously down the train track's. He resulted in my 3rd favourite photo Ive taken:
A cow wandering the tracks in Varanasi.
We'll do a real post some time soon.

That cow could cause some severe disruption! It's a great picture! Try to see the Taj Mahal early morning and late evening too, as it changes colour with the changing light. It's also worth going to the Red Fort and seeing it from there. Hindi lesson no.4: "Ba-hoot soon-dur hey!" It's very beautiful (you'll need it a lot in Agra!)

  2. I love the cow. My favourite picture so far. Bring me one back, Jamies a good packer, he can help fit it in your bag.
Hope you're all doing good, take care of each other and stay safe. x

  3. what a wonderful view from your hotel (and a great photo of it). Looks like you're having a wonderful time - I'm very envious as it's freezing here and keeps trying to snow!
Thank you for the photos and commentary. Take care of yourselves, Ann
